Privacy Policy

A note on this document. GENNOW is a Fundability Platform that helps nonprofits build readiness and manage funding. We are not a fund holder and do not collect, hold, or transmit grant funds. This policy is provided in plain language and is a template that should be reviewed by your own counsel before being relied upon for a live service.

1Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly and a limited amount of information automatically:

• Account information, name, organization or company, email, password, and your role.
• Organization & profile information, organization details, tax status and EIN, issue areas, programs, narrative responses, and documents you upload (such as logic models, reports, budgets, and your IRS determination letter).
• Approved content for AI, the writing you choose to approve, used to generate AI-assisted drafts and your organizational voice profile. Only content you approve is used this way.
• Communications, messages, comments, and reports you create in your workspace or send through the platform.
• Usage information, basic technical data such as your browser type and pages viewed, used to keep the service working and secure.

2How we use information

We use the information above to:

• Operate your workspace, dashboard, notifications, collaboration, and reporting.
• Generate fundability and readiness scores, opportunity matches, and AI-assisted drafts.
• Build an organizational voice profile from content you approve, to ground your drafts in your real voice.
• Communicate with you about your account, billing, and the service.
• Verify good standing and prevent fraud, abuse, or misuse of the service.
• Improve and secure our platform.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your content for advertising.

3How we share information

GENNOW shares information only as needed to operate the service:

• With funders you apply to, when you apply to a funding opportunity, the organization profile and materials you choose to submit are shared with that funder as part of your application.
• Within your team, teammates you invite to your workspace can see your organization’s information according to the role you assign them.
• With service providers, vendors who host or support the platform (including cloud hosting, payment processing, and AI processing), under confidentiality obligations.
• For legal reasons, when required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of GENNOW, our users, or the public.

We do not otherwise disclose your information to third parties without your consent.

4Financial and remittance data

GENNOW does not collect, hold, escrow, or transmit grant funds. Subscription payments are handled by our payment processor; GENNOW never stores your full card number. Any grant funds you secure are paid to you directly by your funder, outside of GENNOW. Please do not enter bank account or routing numbers anywhere on the platform, and do not include them in uploaded documents.

5Data retention

We keep account and workspace records for as long as needed to operate the service, meet our legal and recordkeeping obligations, and preserve the organizational knowledge you build. If you cancel, your workspace and data are retained so you can reactivate, and you may ask us to delete information that we are not required to keep (see Section 8).

6Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect your information, including authentication and access rules enforced server-side. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account password confidential. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at info@gennowtech.com.

7Cookies and local storage

The site uses your browser’s local storage to remember your session and the state of your workspace so the experience is consistent when you return. We use only the storage needed to run the service; we do not use third-party advertising trackers. You can clear local storage in your browser at any time, which will sign you out.

8Your choices and rights

You may review and update your account information at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to object to certain uses. To make a request, email info@gennowtech.com and we will respond consistent with applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

9Youth and children’s information

GENNOW serves organizations that work with young people, but our service is intended for use by those organizations, not by children directly. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the platform. Nonprofits should not upload identifiable information about individual minors (names, images, or records) without the appropriate consent of a parent or guardian. Any youth work product or likeness remains the property of the organization and the young people it serves.

10Changes and contact
